English Setter Grooming
The luxurious coat comes at a price! Regular grooming right through the coat is essential. This will also reduce the amount of hair shed around the house. If a bath is required, use a mild shampoo, as their skin can be sensitive. Ears and toenails will also need attention. Get a young pup used to having it’s paws handled from an early age, as this will make nail trimming easier later. Spayed bitches can grow a very thick and difficult coat, so spaying is not advisable unless required for veterinary reasons. If you don’t want to have to cope with seasons, choose a dog puppy instead.
